What should not interfere with FD duties or create conflicts of interest?

Members shall perform duties:

- in a quiet manner.
All members shall publicly address officers:
by their correct titles.
Members shall be what in all relations with each other and within department?
just and honorable
Members shall refrain from:
altercations
- disorderly conduct
- use of profane, abusive, or improper language.
Where are members not allowed unless performing maintenance or training?
Lounge in seats, sit or lie on fenders of apparatus or dept vehicles
Bed not used when?
Btw 0700 and 2000
-except sundays, holidays, or exceptions by station officer
Drinking
Shall not drink or possess beer or intoxicating liquor while on duty
-do not report for duty under influence of beer, liquor or narcotics
What is not to interfere with dept duties or responsibilities?
Personal activities
Members shall not cause or permit what to be obstructed by chairs or otherwise?
sidewalks or driveways
Members shall not make comments concerning:
anyone passing by that could in any manner cause offense.
While on duty members shall wear uniform described in dress code and shall:
keep themselves in a clean and well kept appearance.
What results in strict disciplinary action?
Shirking duties at fire or in station
What happens at 10:00pm in the station?
Lights out in dorm
-unnecessary or boisterous conduct in dorm and adjoining areas not permitted.
Fire station premises not used for:
advertising things for sale, other than on union bulletin boards.
When are members not allowed to work on personal items?
During duty hours Mon thru Fri or any time dept work needs to be done.
When are there exceptions to on duty personnel not being readily available for alarm response?
Granted by station officer
All members are urged to:
make suggestion and present ideas for betterment of dept, should be made to any officer
Do not make purchase without:
proper approval.
Equipment and vehicles or dept are responsibility of:
every member
-who are expected to know proper name and use associated with dept
What shall not be charged to city?
Personal long distance calls
-calls should also not interfere with work performance
