Where are clef signs placed?

Clef signs are inserted at the beginning of the staff, or wherever the notes go out of range of thestaff.

How are manuscript signs drawn?

Where are key signatures placed?
A
Key signatures are placed after the clef sign, and before the time signature (if there is one), at thebeginning of every staff.

How are time signatures written?
A
- time signature is placed after the clef sign and key signature at the beginning of a piece of music, and if the time signature changes, it is written again after the bar line of the measure where it changes.
- The top number, or beats per measure number, are written directly above the middleline of the staff.
- The bottom number, or the number for the beat value, is written directly below themiddle line of the staff.
- Common and cut time symbols are centered on the middle staff line.
