What is section 113?

What is an element?
An individual, squad, section, platoon, company or larger unit forming part of the next higher unit
What is a formation?
The arrangement of elements of a unit in a prescribed manner
What is a line?
A formation in which the elements are abreast
What is a rank?
A line of marines or vehicles side by side
What is a column?
Elements one behind the other
What is a file?
A single column of Marines or vehicles one behind the other.
What is a flank?
The right or left extremity of a unit either on line or in column
What is an interval?
the lateral space between elements on the same line
measured by shoulder to shoulder
What is a normal interval?
One arm’s length
What is a close interval?
Horizontal distance between shoulder and elbow when the left hand is placed on the left hip
What is an alignment?
dressing of several elements on a straight line
What is a guide?
individual (base) upon a formation, or other elements
regulates its march orr just say most right person
What is the center?
the middle
What is a pace?
full step- 30 in
one heel to the other hee
What are the steps? (half step, side step, etc..)
Half step-15 in
right or left step- 12 in
double time- 30 & 36 in
What is a cadence?
rhymical rate of march

farewell- to say goodbye to sailor (takes the longest)
