State the purpose of antiterrorism (AT)
Used to reduce the vulnerability of individuals and property to terrorist acts.
Reduce the likelihood that Department of Defense affiliated personnel, their families, facilities, and materiel will be subject to a terrorist attack.
State the purpose of force protection
Protect Service members, civilian employees, family members, facilities, information, and equipment in all locations and situations.
Discuss the following Force Protection Condition: FPCON Normal
General global threat of possible terrorist activity
Discuss the following Force Protection Condition: FPCON Alpha
Increased general threat of possible terrorist activity against personnel or facilities.
ALPHA measures must be capable of being maintained indefinitely
Discuss the following Force Protection Condition: FPCON Bravo
Increased or more predictable threat of terrorist activity exists.
Sustaining BRAVO measures for a prolonged period may affect operational capability
Discuss the following Force Protection Condition: FPCON Charlie
An incident occurs or intelligence is received indicating some form of terrorist action
Prolonged implementation of CHARLIE measures may create hardship

Immediate area where a terrorist attack has occurred Normally, this FPCON is declared as a localized condition.
FPCON DELTA measures are not intended to be sustained for substantial periods

The efforts of an individual used against another to cause death
Use deadly force as a last resort
Discuss the use of less than lethal force
Use the lowest level of force needed to control a situation or make an apprehension.

- Shout - verbal warning to halt or stop
- Show - your weapon and demonstrate intent
- Shove - or use other non-deadly means to command compliance
- Shoot - to eliminate threat.
