Describe MAGTFs Logistic Combat Element (LCE)
Task organized to provide full range of combat logistics functions and capabilities needed to support continued readiness and sustainability of the MAGTF.
Formed around combat logistics HQ
Vary in size from a support detachment to one or more MLG’s

Embarked aboard Navy Amphibious Ready Groups (ARG) to form ARG/MEU’s
ARG/MEU provides continuous forward Naval presence in key regions to conduct steady state security cooperation and military engagement and deterrence.
May be called upon for a wide range of military ops.

Describe a Special Purpose MAGTF
Organized when the existing MAGTF is inappropriate or unavailable.
Its a non-standing MAGTF specially formed to perform a specific mission.
Their designation is based off their mission, the region they are assigned to or the name of the exercise.

11, 13 and 15 - MARFORPAC- I MEF Cali/Arizona
22, 24, and 26 - MARFORCOM - II MEF - N. and S. Carolina
31 - MARFORPAC - III MEF - Okinawa, Japan
Describe MAGTF Aviation Combat Element (ACE).
Supports MAGTF mission by provide some or all of the six functions of Marine Aviation
Vary in size from an aviation detachment to one or more MAWs
Can operate effectively from ships, expeditionary airfields, or forward operating sites
Readily and routinely transition between sea bases and expeditionary airfields
Describe MAGTFs Ground Combat Element (GCE)
Organized to conduct ground operations in support of MAGTFs mission
Formed around an infantry organization reinforced w/ artillery, reconnaissance, armor and engineer forces.
Vary in size from Rifle platoon to one or more MARDIV’s

MAGTF Headquarters
Provides command and control capabilities necessary for effective planning, direction, and execution of all ops.
Describe the acronym MAGTF.
Principle organization for the conduct of all missions across the range of military operations.
MAGTF’s are task organized but all have the same structure.
