Screening, Mobility, Flexibility and strength Flashcards
What is a significant leg length discrepancy?
> 5 - 6 mm
What does the Thomas test do?
Assessment of one and two joint hip flexors extensibility.
Hamstring Flexibility
Combination of hip flexion with knee extension in supine. Ideal is 80-90° of hip flexion while maintaining full knee extension.
For hamstring flexibility what indicates a severe neurological lesion?
20-40°
What may suggest SI, neurological involvement or hamstring tightness?
40-70°
What implicates soft tissue?
70-90°
What does the piriformis test assess?
In hip flexion and adduction it assess amount of hip internal rotation
What does the adductor flexibility do?
Assess range of hip abduction while monitoring for hip rotation, knee flexion, and hip hiking.
What is the ITB/ TFL Flexibility - Ober Test ?
Evaluates a tight ITB / TFL.
What does the Hip Range of motion - flexibility assess?
Assess amount of internal rotation and external rotation range of motion in position of hip flexion.
What is the Quadricep Flexibility?
Heel to buttock without allowing hip flexion or abduction.
Screens for adverse femoral nerve tension.
