What is an introduction?
A literature review of general area of investigation
What is included in an introduction/ What might you include?
Relevant theories/ concepts and studies related to the current study.
May include aims and hypotheses towards the end
What is the method split into?

What should the method include?
Enough detail that it can be replicated:
Design
Sample
Apparatus/ materials
Procedure
Ethics
What is results?
Summarising key findings
Descriptive statistics
Inferential statistics
Raw data in the appendix
If qualitative methods used = analysis of themes
What is discussion?
Summarising results/ findings
What is the discussion discussed in context of?
Evidence and other research presented in introduction.
What does the discussion discuss?
Any limitations and how they might be addressed in the future.
Wider implications of the research discussed.
What does referencing include?
Full details of source material that was used or cited e.g. journals, books, websites etc
How do you reference?
Surname, Initial. (Date) Title. Place of publication. Publisher.
Why do we reference?
