- disorganised speech
- disorganised unusual behaviour( catatonic behaviour )
What are four examples of negative symptoms?
- speech poverty
- avolition
- affective flattening - decrease in range of emotion
- anhedonia - lack of Initial pleasure or direction
What does the DSM need to diagnose someone with schizophrenia which the ICD doesn’t need?
A positive sympton
What is reliability?
Consistency of the diagnostic instrument to assess the severity of schizophrenia.
What is validity?
The extent that a diagnosis represents something that is real and distinct from other disorders.
