What do you need to do en route to the scene?
A
- A description of the suspect
- A description of the suspect’s vehicle
- The suspects direction of travel
- A description of any weapons carried.
- Any vehicles that come from the scene and note rego numbers
- Plan where you park

Explain your responsibilities
A
- Freeze = The scene so that it remains in the condition in which it was found.
- Control = People at the scene and those attempting to leave or arrive.
- Preserve = Any evidence at the scene that may be destroyed or start to decay in some way.

What information that should be obtained from an informant on arrival at a scene?
A
- Identify the victim and/or the offender
- If the offender is not present, their direction, if they have left in a vehicle, details of the vehicle and the registration.

What should you do on arrival at a scene?
A
- Park in a safe area.
- Advise comms of your arrival and obtain acknowledgement (10-7)
- Revise your plan if the scene is different than expected.
- “5 WH + H” why, where, when, who, what, and how
- Ask people nearby what, where and who is involved. Ask open ended questions(TEDS)
- Provide an update to comms
