Describe Shoulder Separation + Anatomical Structures
Fall On an OutStretched Hand / landing on the shoulder.
AC and coracoclavicular ligaments are stressed to the point of potential tear.
If complete tear of coracoclavicular ligament, then clavicle could move over acromion and may move inferior… damaging the glenohumeral joint.
Describe Shoulder Dislocation + Anatomical Structures
most vulnerable when arm is in abducted position
the inferior joint capsule does not have any reinforcement from any muscles or ligaments
Humerus pops out inferiorly then moves anteriorly to the glenohumeral joint
Locations of bursae in scapular region
-Subacromial
-Subdeltoid
-Subtendinous of Subscapularis
