Q

Scales of measurement for quantitative stats

A
  • Nominal data
  • Categories that have no inherent order to them, just labels
  • Ordinal data
  • Categories that have an order to them, difference between them are not equal
  • Interval data
  • Categories (units) that are ordered and each is equivalent in size, but no true zero
  • Ratio data
  • Ordered, equivalent categories (units) with a true zero
