What are the contraindications/cautions/interactions of Salbutamol?
Use with caution in children with diabetes, hyperthyroidism and cardiovascular disease (blood sugar can be elevated).
What are the nursing implications of Salbutamol?
Check and monitor inhaler technique, assist with peak flow monitoring and recording in their diary. Ensure the child has a spare inhaler. Ask about school and problems. Refer to additional services for support.
