Heart irregularities, unconsciousness and death.
What device MUST be used when working with nitrogen?
A nitrogen regulator.
How must nitrogen pressure relief valves be installed?
Downstream from the regulator and NOT in Series.
What must NEVER be used to purge or pressurize refrigerant lines or equipment?
Compressed air or oxygen. Doing so could cause a fire or explosion.
What dangers can occur by exposing refrigerants that contain chlorine or fluorine to an open flame?
Carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide and phosgene gas can be produced.
What must be done to corroded relief valves?
They must be replaced.
