What effects does Baptism have on the person who receives it?
~ Removes original sin (and any actual sin)
~ Imprints an indelible mark on the soul

~ Makes a child of God by adoption
~ Makes a member of Christ’s Mystical Body
Types of Baptism:
~ By water (usually) ~ Of desire - they die before they got RCIA done ~ Of blood - they got martyred before they got RCIA done
What is the benefit of receiving Baptism as soon as possible?
You don’t know when you’ll die! PRESUMPTION is a sin! You miss out on all the benefits: no relationship with God

What effects does Confirmation have on the person who receives it?
~ Baptismal graces is increased and deepened
~ A delibale mark is imprinted on the soul (like Baptism)
~ The person is rooted more deeply as a child of the Father
~ The person is united more closely to Christ
~ The gifts of the Holy Spirit increase
- Wisdom, understanding, counsel, fortitude, knowledge, piety, and fear of the Lord
~ The confirmed person’s bond with the Church is PERFECTED
~ Special graces are given to the confirmed person to enable him to spread and defend the faith by word and deed as a true witness to Christ
~ The confirmed person is enabled to confess Christ BOLDLY and never ashamed of the Cross
