A

~ A census is taken to account for God’s people
~ God protects the Israelites on their journey

~ God has expectations for the priests from the tribe of Levi
~ Sacrifices must be offered to God alone, usually occurring as the result of human sin- to atone for the sin and repair the relationship with God
- Any of the 5 types of sacrifices
- Get Egypt out of the people
~ Mention is made that these sacrifices are imperfect and eventually require a more perfect offering (Jesus’ crucifixion)

~ “Second Law”
~ Moses wants to reinforce the Law before his death and departure from the Israelites- requires the Law to be read aloud to the people every 7 years
~ God’s love can embrace all of us if we are willing to accept Him
- Love of God and obedience should be our WAY OF LIFE.
~ The Shema- Dt 6:4-9
