First rule of right of way
The AC which has right of way will maintain heading and speed
Right of way rules, who is obliged to give way?
Aircraft to the RIGHT is is obliged to give way.
Shall avoid passing OVER, UNDER or CROSSING AHEAD
2 aircraft approaching head on
Each AC shall turn RIGHT
Overtaking AC
The overtaking AC shall change course to the RIGHT and REMAIN CLEAR

Landing / Taking Off priority?
- All aircraft shall give way to aircraft landing or in the final stages of an approach to land
- An aircraft compelled to land has right of way.
- Aircraft taking take off have right of way over Aircraft taxiing on the manoeuvring area.
- Where two or more approaching, higher gives way, but lower shall not cut in or overtake.
Surface movement priority?
- Two aircraft approaching head on, each stop, or alter course to the right to keep well clear.
- Two converging: the one which has the other on its right shall give way.
- Aircraft being overtaken by another has right-of-way - overtaking aircraft keep well clear.
- Aircraft shall stop at all runway holding points and/or all lighted stop bars, unless clearance to enter runway given and stop bars turned off.

What is an anti-collision light?
Rotorcraft: A flashing red light
Any other aircraft: A flashing red or flashing white light (360 degrees)
When must anti-collision lights be displayed?
Displayed day and night when in flight, taxiing or being towed.
