What is the general will
It is the policy equally in the interests of all the members, not in anyone’s special interests, although it is in the common interest. General Will must apply to everyone. General will should not be easy to identify. Voters have to vote on what they think is best for everyone instead of personal interests
What is difference between general will and the will of all
The will of all is the sum of everyone’s private individual wills. The general will is a policy equally in the interests of all its members
What is Rousseau’s opinion on modern leisure time
Leisure time is when the savage begins seeking luxury goods and begins to compare himself to others.

What is his definition of civil religion
Every person must subscribe to a religion because it will make them love duty, diversity of religion should be tolerated but only those that incorporate principle of toleration, and civil religion that not necessarily has religious dogma but that relies on the sentiment that make a man a good citizen and faithful subject
Function of the government according to Rousseau (II)
Rousseau believes that the only job of the government is to enforce laws rather than make laws, he believes in direct democracy and the people’s ability to make their own laws according to the general will
What is the censor’s job (II)
To ridicule antisocial behavior, the censor’s job is to discourage people from certain types of behavior rather than encouraging them to act in a certain way like the word in modern times suggests
What does Rousseau think about scarcity in the state of nature
Rousseau believed that the savage man won’t have to face scarcity because they are a solitary being relying on hunting and gathering rather than taking from other people and that in a state of nature, resources are not scarce for the savage man, however, if scarcity does become an issue pity fades
