Protects eye n maintains shape

A
Anterior 1/6th of rye
Positioned in front of iris and pupil
Has extensive sensory nerves
Surface covered by tears from lacrimal gland

What are the three chambers of eye
A
Anterior + posterior chamber (filled with aq humour) Vitreas chamber (vitreas humour)

What are the ocular delivery routes?
A
Cornea -main to reach aq humour
Periocular - bypass the conjunctional and corneal epithelium

Elimination route via?
A
Aq humour into systemic oveoscleral circulation
Outflow from trabecular meshwork and schlemm’s canal
Eliminate from vitreous humour via diffusion into anterior chamber
Clearance via posterior route across blood rental barrier
