Routine phys assessments but RN must complete assessments once in each 24-hour period
Cannot assess pts in emergency situations
Can educate clients but cannot assess learning barriers
Can resolve probs on care plan in consultations with an RN

Responsible for nursing process
Nevere delegate initial patient assessment or subsequent assessments of critical pats
Do not delegate anything that requires specialized knowledge, judgement, or skill; formulation N diagnosis, goal identification; creating/updating care plan; educating pat and fam; evaluation of progress towards meeting goals; discussion of pt issues with a physician
