Rebuttal 1- attainment gap in Scotland
The gap between those in the most deprived areas and the least deprived getting into University is at its widest since 2018 at 14.4 percentage points.
Rebuttal 2- NMW isn’t enough for people to get out of poverty.
An analysis in 2018 found that workers on NMW would need to work for an extra 6 weeks to cover their everyday living costs.
Rebuttal 3- claimants faced problems with their money,
1 in 10 claimants received their money late and not in full amount.
