Eg- around 14% of blacks are in the House of Representatives and there’s around 13% of blacks in the population

This is because politics is typically a male dominated sphere and may feel like they don’t belong. Aswell as this many women face criticism for being part of politics while also having a family.
Eg- the US only has 27% of women in their national parliament but there 51% of women in their population.
