- Hypotonia, syncope
- Involvement of skin and mucosal tissue
- Ingestion of a known allergen

- H1 or H2 blocker
- Systemic steroids
- Oxygen

A
- 2 fractures per rib in at least two ribs
- Paradoxical breathing, flail chest moves inward on inspiration
- Indicates underlying pulmonary constusion

A
- Supplemental O2
- Pain control with morphine
- CPAP
- Intubation

A
- Significant blunt trauma to chest
- Hypoxia correlated with size of contusion
- Dyspnea, hemoptysis,
- Tachycardia
- Chest wall brusing
- Patchy interstitial infiltrates on CXR

- CPAP
- Intubate if severe resp distress
- Supportive care
