Predominantly by sexual contact

20% global burden of women and 14% of men health problems, and significant in poor countries

Developing countries mostly
What is Female Genital Mutilation?
Procedures intentionally altering or causing injury to FGM for non-medical reasons
What are some of the consequences of FGM?
Cyst and scar tissue formation, complications in sex and pregnancy, low libido, depression and anxiety.
