Abstract
-Provides a summary for other researchers in the area to help them decide if they wish to read the whole report.
-Covers aim, hypothesis, methods results, and conclusion.
-Less than 200 words.
Introduction
-Gives background on relevant theories and studies to explain how aims and hypothesis developed.
-Starts out general (background research) and becomes more specific to the current research (aims and hypothesis).
Method
-If a researcher wishes to replicate a piece of this research, this section provides a guide to help them achieve this.
-Broken into 5 sections, sampling, equipment, procedures, ethics, and design.
Results
-To present the overall summary of the findings to the reader rather than reviewing raw data.
-Includes description statistics, inferential results, significance, and graphs.
Discussion
-The section will discuss the findings and suggest possible uses and future areas of research.
-Inclues summary of results, comparisant, limitations, modifications, and applications in future research.
References
-Acknowledge the authors of work referred to and allows readers to identify sources or information referenced.
-All in alphabetical order. (Harvard referencing)
