Many had emigrated from barbary states and it was known that collaboration with barbary corsairs was on the rise in the 1560s (through smuggling weapons into Spain etc)
Why were Moriscos in Granada hated?
Many were wealthy and benefited from the lucrative silk trade.

targeted any Moriscos who could not prove their ownership of land, resulting in mass confiscations of land. Also targeted the silk industry, subjecting them to heavy taxation and banning exports. Cheap silk became favoured over the morisco’s expensive one.

forbid all morisco customs including all distinctive dress, ceremonies and surnames. They had 3 years to achieve fluency in Spanish, after which the Arabic language would be outlawed.

Situation in 1570
By October 1570, the government had sufficient control to order the evacuation of all moriscos from Granada - 90 000 were redistributed across Castile but 30% of them perished en-route. This only aggravated the Morisco problem by spreading it throughout the peninsula.
