Relationships Flashcards
Human reproductive behaviour
my behaviour which relates to opportunities to reproduce and therefore increases the survival chances for our genes.
Dimorphism
Sexual dimorphism is the condition where the two sexes of the same species exhibit different characteristics beyond the differences in their sexual organs.
Anisogamy
Refers to differences between male and female sex cells (gametes)
Male gametes- sperm
Female gametes- eggs/ ova
Secondary sexual characteristics
Features that appear during puberty/ sexual maturing that distinguish the sexes, but unlike primary sex characteristics (sex organs) are not directly part of the reproductive system. Eg females enlarged breasts, widened hips, males facial hair.
