    4. Involves any internal organ
    5. Involves second/third degree burns, or any burns affecting more than 5% of the body surface

Air Carrier
- If a pilot offers transport to the public and arranges for and flies the a/c, the is then acting as an Air Carrier and must hold a Air Carrier Certificate

Pilot Services
- If a pilot offers his services as a pilot, and has nothing to do with securing the a/c, then he/she is offering their Pilot Services, which doesn’t require an operating certificate

  • Part 91 is the regulation that ALL civil aircraft must abide by
  • All other parts are in addition to Part 91
  • Think of regulations as Part 91 and (whatever operation regulation the operation flies under)

  1. For a/c over 12,500lbs, turbojets and others specified in the TCDS (most a/c that require a type rating)
  2. Carrying pax for hire under IFR in any a/c
    OR anytime a 2-pilot crew is mandated by the AFM or OpSpecs
    ORif the a/c has 10 pax seats or more

3.SIC NOT REQUIRED when PIC has **_100hrs PIC in make & model, and/or there are fewer than 10 pax seats
- and the OpSpecs allow the use of an autopilot in lieu of an SIC
