Q

What is the synapse process?

A
  1. The electrical impulse arrives at the synapse
  2. This causes chemicals in the neurone to move towards the synapse
  3. The chemical diffuses across the synapse
  4. A new electrical impulse in initiated in the next neurone.

Q

What are some examples of reflex actions and why are they so important?

A

Blinking: Protects the eyes from bright light or foreign objects
Gagging: Prevents choking
