Lacquer
Dry part is sprayed with a semi clear lacquer
Transparent Tape
Dry part with a discontinuity is covered with transparent tape and pressure is applied.
- easier and faster than lacquer
Tape Transfers
Transparent tape method is used but after applied, tape is removed and placed on a report or diagram

Magnetic Rubber Inspection
Rubber with magnetic particles, that when magnetized cures creating a solid replica of the area examined
- locating discontinuities with poor visual access
- MRI
Alginate Impression Compounds
Compound mixed with water to form a paste, applied to inspection surface, cures and is removed lifting magnetic particles from subsequent magnetization.
