God created the heavens and earth . He also created light and darkness which he called day and night .

What are the main parts of the of the creation of humans ?
- God created a garden called Eden and placed a man there he had formed from dust . He also created the tree of knowledge of good and evil .
- A river flows out of Eden to water the garden , and from there it divides and becomes four branches . Pishon , Gihon , Tigris and another one .
- God decided to make a partner for the man and so he created every land animal of the field , to which he brought to the man to name .
- However God still had not found a partner for Adam so he put him in to a deep sleep , and took him into a deep sleep . God took one of Adams ribs and closed up its place with flesh . This brought a woman . Eve
- God told them to share their flesh by having sex .
What does the creation of Adam by michalangelo show us ?
- God and adam reaching out to each other
- Adam looks strong and perfect / muscular
- God looks powerful because of his beard which might show his wisdom and experience .
- God is in the shape of a heart - which could show his love / also could be a brain - all knowing / could be a uterus - life giving
- God wants a relationship with humanity but Adam doesn’t seem to bothered .

Both show God is a creator

What is one difference between both art ?
God is shown as an old man whereas in the other mosaic only God’s hand is shown .
What does the creation story in Genesis show about God ?
He is the creator of everything , shows that God is transcendent and omnipotent .
