RBT Certification and Upkeep

What are the requirements for your RBT certification?

Answer 1

1. 18+ years old, have high school diploma or equivalent level of schooling
2. Must complete 40-hours of training, as well as initial competency
3. Must pass a criminal background check and abuse registry check
4. After 40-hour training and competency, you will create a BACB acc with diploma/transcript, 40-hour certification, and completed competency to submit your application to the BACB. Once this is approved, you will create a Pearson Vue acc and schedule your exam.
5. Once you receive your RBT certification you will receive 5% supervision from your BCBA monthly. Annually you will re-take the competency and apply to renew your RBT certification on the BACB website.
