What is class voting and state an example/ percentage of it
. Class voting is where people vote for a petty depending on their class e.g. The working class traditionally vote labour while the middle class vote conservative. It is part of the social structure model. . In 2015 social class's A and B voted 47% conservative and 26% labour, E and D on the other hand voted 27% Conservative and 41% Labour.
How does the economy influence a voters vote and state examples of this?
. The economy can have a big impact on how a voter votes e.g. A party with good economic history or policies is more likely to be voted for than a party with poor economic history and policies.
. In the 2005 general election 22% of people believed that the conservatives had the best economic policies while 26% believed labour had the best economic policies. 36% were indifferent.
How does Ethnicity affect a voters voting behaviour and state examples of this
. Ethnicity is part of the Rational Choice model and depicts how different ethnics vote depending on decisions made by the government.
. 22% of Indians voted Conservatives in 2010 but only 6% of black Africans voted Conservative.
. The events of the Iraq war in 2005 caused a fall in votes for labour among Muslim communities.

. It explains how and why voting decisions vary according to the different nature of elections.
. E.g. Individuals may have differing objectives depending on the type of election e.g. Tactical voting

. Is a model of voting behaviour and suggests that are influenced by:

. Governments, political parties and business interest groups

. Is a model which helps to determine a persons loyalty towards a particular political party.
