I am over taking ship number 1, so I would alter to port.

What are the limitations of radar?
A
- Echoes may be obscured by sea or rain clutter
- Misalignment of the heading marker
- Small vessel, ice and other floating objects may not be detected by radar.
- Masts or other structural features may cause shadow or blind sectors on the display.
- The quality performance of the radar needs to be checked regularly.
- Video processing techniques should be used with care.
