what is a likert scale?
when the respondent indicates their agreement with a statement using a scale
what is a rating scale?
when the respondent identifies a value that represents their strength of feeling about a particular topic
what is a fixed-choice option?
when respondents are given a list of possible options and are asked to indicate those that apply to them
what is an interview schedule?
a list of questions that the interviewer intend to cover and this should be standardised to reduce the contaminating effect of interviewer bias
what should the interviewer do in the case of a one-to-one interview?
- conduct it in a quiet room
- conduct it away from other people
