what is the BPS code of ethics
a quasi-legal document produced by the British Psychological Society that instructs psychologists about what behaviour is and isn’t acceptable when dealing with ppts

- giving ppts the right to withdraw at the start of the study

- stop the study if harm is suspected

- no names should be recorded, use numbers instead

- don’t observe people in public spaces without their informed consent
