Laws are set standards, principles, and procedures that must be followed in society. They are introduced by government and passed by parliament.

What is a policy?
A
These are plans of action and procedures held by the government, police, NHS, college, and any other organization. They are only documents, not law. They are written in line with the law.

What other aims might a campaign have?

A
To change attitudes, to raise awareness, to change funding, or to change the priorities of agencies (like schools or the prison system).
