Local effects of crime

A
  • depopulation as people move away because they don’t feel safe at home.

  • this will lead to poverty in the area as businesses and jobs go away.
  • the area is labelled a ‘sink area’ so anyone who lives there will be discriminated against in the future or seen as part of the crime.
