• a “direct quote”

• the verb is never capitalized
• the first word of a quote is always capitalized!
• when a statement would normally use a period, inside a quote, you use a comma (tag at the end)
• remember to tag speaker ever so often so the reader is not confused
• start a new paragraph with every new speaker
