salmeterol (Serevent Diskus) dosage prevention and maintenance treatment of asthma
salmeterol (Serevent Diskus) dosage prevent exercise induced bronchospasm
1 inhalation 30 minutes before exercise
bitolterol (Tornalate) dosage to prevent bronchospasm
2 inhalations every 8 hours
formoterol (Foradil) dosage to prevent exercised induced asthma
inhale 1 capsule at least 15 minutes prior to exercise
albuterol dosage (Ventolin, Proventil)
Oral: 2-4 mg, 3-4 times a day
MDI: 2 IH q4-6h OR 2 IH 15min before exercise
Used in children as young as 2
metaproterenol dosage (Alupent)
MDI: 2-3 inhalation every 3-4 hours not to exceed 12 inhalations per day Age 6 and up
pirbuterol dosage (Maxair)
MDI: 1-2 IH q6h OR 1-2 IH 15 min before exercise
age 12 and up
terbutaline dosage (Brethine)
Oral: 2.5 mg - 5mg q6h IH: 2 IH q4-6h SC: 250mcg -
may repeat in 15-30 min
levalbuterol (Xopenex)
