Alienation

What is the presentation of alterations of arousal?
Hypervigilence

Difficulty concentrating
How is PTSD diagnosed?
Screening of victims of disasters at 1 month where poss
Symptoms present for >1 month
What is th management of PTSD?
- Trauma focused CBT
- Antidepressants- if doesn’t respond to/not amenable to CBT
Eye movement desensitisation and reprocessing
What antidepressants are used in PTSD?
- SSRI/SNRI
