  • During neural recovery, excessive exercise during early reinnervation can lead to further damage rather than to the usual exercise-induced muscle hypertrophy.
    • Avoid muscle fatigue/overuse
  • Stop exercise at first signs of fatigue or muscle ache

  • Slow, graduated program of active exercise
