the study of thinking, influence, and relation to one another
social psychologists study:

Attitude:
learned tnedanct to evaluate based upon predispositions of of objects, people, or events
Peripheral Attitude Persuasion:
based on surface level knowledge/observation; fast but thoughtless
Central Attitude Persuasion:
based on evidence and arguements; deeper routed in knowledge=more thought provoking
Cognitive Dissonance=

to feel what others are feeling; put youself in their shoes

normative social influence:
changing your ideas to gain approval
informative social influence:
believing someone else’s ideas to be true
social facilitation
the presence of others influences your arousal, making easy, easier and hard,harder
home town advantage:
enthusiastic audience= energizing effect on players, makes tasks easier
AROUSES YOU
