• Hogarty did a follow up 2 years after family intervention and found that those who took part were 37% less likely to relapse

• there may be other treatments for examnple Art Therapy according to NICE is effective
• it is not a cure, it only betters the patients quality of life by reducing stress and is therefore not an effective treatment
