- Brief psychotic disorder
- Schizophreniform disorder
- Schizoaffective disorder
- Schizotypal personality disorder

Brief psychotic DO- psychotic & residual sx lasting > 1 day but < 1 month; often obvious precipitating psychosocial factors
Schizophreniform DO- 2 or more psychotic & residual sx lasting 1-6 months (if > 6 mos then schizophrenia)
Schizoaffective DO- symptoms of a major mood disorder (mania or depression) as well as sx of schizophrenia; chronic social & occupational impairment
Schizotypal personality DO- peculiar behavior and odd thinking such as magical thinking (the idea that wishing can make something happen) without psychosis
