Q

whats the diffrence between the protiens made in free ribosomes and RER ribosomes?

A

Free ribos make protiens used for the cell usually
and RER ribos make protiens often exported out of the cell

Q

What is protien secretory pathway

A

It involved organelles producing, modifying, packing protiens then being exported out of the cell via exocytosis

Q

What is the purpose of the ROUGH endoplasmic reticulum

A

It sites for the polypetide chain to be correctly folded beofre passing it on to golgi

Q

What is the purpose of tthr transport vesicle?

A

After protien folded in RER, the transport vesicle which is budded off the RER travels to the golgi apparatus, fusing wit it to realease the protiens.

Protiens need this to prevent from degrading

Q

What is exocytosis?

A

It is a type of bulk trnasport using ATP, to realease the protiens out of the cell by fusing the secreotry vesicle with the plasma membrane.
