Projections Flashcards
What is an orthogonal projection(multiview)
Orthogonal projection (multiview): representation of two or more sides of an object
(top, front, and side view).
What is an Axonometric Projection?
A 3D representation of an object, which is separated so that
more than one side is visible.
What is an exploded view?
Exploded View: shows all of the various parts separated from each other
What is a cross-section?
Cross Section: It is a drawing of an object as if it were cut by an imaginary line. It is used to
show the object’s interior.
(est) What is dimensional tolerance?
It is an acceptable margin of error between a dimension in the drawing and the actual measurements of a part after it has been manufactured.
What is an object line?
Shows the visible lines of the object.
What is an invisible line?
Shows the hidden details of the object.
