patient-centered treatment, provide necessary time/effort to meet pat needs, place pat needs first, contribute to underserved pops (volunteer, etc)
what are some ways a pta can demonstrate compassion/caring?
active listening, show that you care and show respect, consider various influences on pat (social, emotional, cultural, economic,etc), recognize and refrain from acting on ones biases–be non-judgmental
What are some ways a pta can demonstrate excellence?
identify strengths and weaknesses and work to improve, maintain competence (CE), seek further edu re: interventions based on new evidence, ongoing self-assessment
what are some of the ways a pta can demonstrate professional duty?
conduct and attitudes consistant with roles and responsibilites of pta, facilitates pat achievement of goals, preserve pat safety, confidentiality, advocate for profession, be a CI
what ways can a pta demonstrate integrety?
follow laws regarding scope of work, payment policies, institutional, and apta policies
adhere to highest standards of pta including code of ethics, guide to conduct, state practice act, payment reqs

advocate for pats in clinical setting, demo behaviors that positively represent the profession, promote healthy lifestyle/wellness and injury prevention, advocate for changes in law

work within personal scope (know your limitations)
complete pat care tasks in timely and efficient manner
accept responsibility for and fix your mistakes
communicate in a timely manner
