PAX brief for forced landing

A

Inform: We’ve had an engine failure and we’ll be landing in a field. The aircraft is under control.
Instruct: Please remain calm and stay clear of the flight controls. Ensure your seat belts and hatches are secure. After landing use that emergency exit and we will move away from the aircraft.
Reassure: The aircraft is under control and I have practiced this many times.

Mayday call

A

“Mayday, Mayday, Mayday, station addressed, callsign, we have had an engine failure and are performing a forced landing in a field, location, POB, will call again on ground.”

PAX brief for PSL

A

Inform: We are going to perform a precautionary search and landing in the field below, due to bad weather coming through/daylight ending/running out of fuel.
Instruct: Ensure your seatbelts and hatches are secure, remove any sharp objects from pockets and make sure your baggage is properly stowed.
Reassure: The aircraft is under control and I have practiced this many times.
