What are three elements of design?

A

Line: Two dimensionl, lines of planting beds and edges of paths. Gives direction and movement to the eye to express emotion.
Form: mass and volume to the line, such as plant shapes, open, tight, dense, airy etc.
Texture: how a plant loooks like it feels.

A

A final plan is what is designed after initial ideas have been exchanged and communicated and narrowed down to something that could be drawn on computer or ink.

A

repetition of a form, color or texture. Good idea to repeat two fo the three plant characteristics of form, color and texture to create oneness. Simplicity breed elegance.

A

symetrical. islike a mirror, but asymetrical you have as much interest on both sides but it doesn’t duplicate exactly.

A

Proportion works in design by analysing size, line, form texture and color with one another. How much color to use in the design with one side vs the other etc.

A

This is a spot that immediately attracts the eye. Don’t complete with. afocal point. Use no more than one focal point per view.

A

Creates a sense of movement for the eye. The transition should be gradual. Walking down a hill as opposed to falling off a cliff.
