Condition technique
Largest configuration technique used in sales and distribution module
Used in pricing, text determination, output determination, and material determination–anywhere you have a condition record
The technique that SAP uses to find a choice from among a number of alternatives
Conditions
The specific situations that apply to a sale. Different conditions have different prices.
Condition records
The different conditions and the prices associated with each are stored in SAP in condition records.
Condition table
Where condition records are grouped
There can be multiple tables.
Each table is accessed by the system in a specific sequence called can access sequence.
Condition type
An accesss sequence of condition tables is assigned to a condition type
You can have condiion types for prices, discounts and so on
Grouped together in a determination procedure
Determination procedure
Simply a process to determine a value using the condition technique
Condition Value
The result of the search for a condition
Account determination procedure
A determination procedure to find accounts
Condition Type
Used to define pricing elements such as prices, discounts, surcharges, or taxes
Condition Type field: Condition class
Used by the system to determine what conditions it must re-determine and when
Condition type field: Calulation type
Indicates that the value determined in the condition record will be percentage
Condition type field: Condition category
This condition category is used by the system to categorize condition types into similar groups
Condition type field: Rounding rule
Indicates the system to use commercial rounding in discovering the value of the condition record
3 types
- Commercial round, value < 5 will be rounded down, value >= 5 will be rounded up
- Always round up,
- Always round down
Condition type field: Structured condition
Indicate the condition type is not relevant for a cumulation of values of a bill of materials nor is it relevant to be duplicated across all sub-items of a bill of materials
Condition type field: Plus/minus
Indicates that this condition will have a positive or negative affect on the price
Condition type “Changes which can be made” area
Defines what manual changes are permitted to the condition record
Condition type field: Valid from and to fields
Propose the default validity dates the condition records will show when they are created
Condition type field: Reference condition type
You have more than one condition type that are very similar in usage and have the same condition records, but differ slightly in description, or calculation type
Condition type field: Scale basis
indicates how the scale of the condition records must be calculated
Condition type field: Scale formula
Used with a routine to determine the scale base value
Condition type field: The check value field
Determines if the scale should always be ascending or descending or indicates that the scale is not checked
Condition type field: The unit of measure field
Forces the system to use this particular unit of measure when calculating the scale

Indicates the scale is able to be set up in the condition record
Condition type field: Currency conversion
If checked, causes the system to convert the condition currency to the document currency after the multiplication of the items
If unchecked, the system converts the currency of the condition into the document currency before multiplying the value for the items
